...Even though, there were those who spoke English, I tried to speak only Italian by going to the movies, watching television, sitting in the park and listening to the Italians speaking. I practiced doing crossword puzzles in Italian, reading children's books in Italian and later on more advanced literature as well as medical books in Italian.
