...Eliminate Weaknesses - Studying on their own, few students can actually improve their own performance. They know where they struggle, but not WHY they go wrong or how to avoid that error. When working with students, I target a specific aspect of their performance to improve - i.e. setting up an equation, writing a stronger thesis - & offer concrete, applicable solutions.

...I've taken students from Fs to Bs multiple times, and the largest point increase that I've had with a student between tests is 73. I also work with students on enrichment materials in preparation for things like the AMC test. As for teaching style, I feel that the concept drives the skill. (read more)
