...I believe students sometimes feel they don't like a subject because they don't do well in the subject. Once someone explains concepts and helps them solve problems on their own, they get excited, and slowly the confidence builds up. ...I'm now back in Cincinnati with my Master of Education. It's pretty normal to be overwhelmed by math, or avoid it, or hate it, and it's probably the scariest ACT test. I've been tutoring ACT math for years (and taken it as an adult) and have a great sense of the types of questions that are often included and the best way for different learners to find the answers easily and quickly.
