...The thing I can help with is writing clearly, without grammar mistakes. Future college students often ask "should I take the ACT or the SAT?" The mathematics on the SAT is less advanced than ACT math: you will not be asked anything from precalculus or trigonometry on the SAT. The tradeoff is that questions on the SAT can have trickier wording. (read more)
...I tutored privately in high-school mostly to middle-schoolers and other high schoolers in science and math. In college I tutored students through the university's tutoring center for three years before tutoring privately again in my last year. I've seen students who've never taken a course before to those who are coming back to school after working or serving in the military. (read more)

To teach and encourage my students, I used one-on-one strategies, collaborative lessons, technology, parent/student conferences, and home visits.
