...Students can be drawn out more in a casual environment where ideas are encouraged and respected. Generally, I believe in collaboration, which of course is difficult in a one-on-one session. However, I feel that it's important to know where to find the answers. (read more)
...I taught a fifth grader from Afghanistan the basics of English from zero knowledge of English, and he was able to learn in about 6 months enough to begin talking to his classmates. I fell in love with trigonometry when I took it as a freshman in high school in an algebra II and trigonometry class. Trigonometry is a subject that I find easy to understand and teach to other people. (read more)
...I received a 1500 on the SAT in my Junior year. For my mathematical background, I have 3+ years of experience with statistical analysis (including programming in R), have taken AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics, Linear Algebra, and more. I am especially proficient with math courses relating to statistics and geometry. (read more)
