...I have been reading on my own since the age of three. At the age of nine, I taught myself how to speedread, and I increased my reading speed from 270 words a minute to over 600 words a minute over three months. I taught a fifth grader from Afghanistan the basics of English from zero knowledge of English, and he was able to learn in about 6 months enough to begin talking to his classmates. (read more)

...During my undergraduate education, I volunteered at a local elementary school and tutored students who were at least 1-2 grade levels behind in math. That being said, I am very comfortable working with students from Kindergarten up to the high school level.
