...Of the other two, one decided against pursuing a graduate degree and the other went to take the MCAT (I tutored also) and went on to medical school. Oftentimes, on standardized tests, it's not the test taker's subject knowledge, but rather test taking strategies and time management strategies that keep them from the desired score or outcome. ...While finishing my M.S. in Chemistry at DePaul University I completed a course in statistical analysis of data. The first half of the course was a thorough treatment of probability theory with significant emphasis on problem solving. I have also taught many classes in advanced mathematics where basic probability was a requisite part of the subject. (read more)
