...I started learning of my love for teaching people when I was quite young, and I've been running with it ever since. In middle school I launched my own science club for elementary and middle school students. ...I find that the most detrimental thing to a mathematics student is lacking a core foundation. In math, everything you learn builds on top of what you learned in previous years, and without that strong foundation, students can fall behind. When teachers explain something in class they assume that the students have a certain knowledge about math based on what they learned in previous years. (read more)
