John D. ...Algebra 1 will always be one of my favorites to teach because of the potential applications that stem from much of the rigor behind the materials covered in this course. I taught Algebra 2 a number of years at an international school. This is one of my favorite subjects to teach because it tends to be a "make or break" class for students to either love or hate math.

If certain material is typically covered five times as much as other material on exams then you need to know that in advance. Too many students focus on everything equally, or only take into account what components of a class are the most difficult for them.
