...I taught a fifth grader from Afghanistan the basics of English from zero knowledge of English, and he was able to learn in about 6 months enough to begin talking to his classmates. I fell in love with trigonometry when I took it as a freshman in high school in an algebra II and trigonometry class. ...I normally like to start out with any questions a student has and then like to work through chosen example problems by letting the student lead the way while I fill in any gaps. Calculus is all about understanding what types of problems there are and developing tools for solving those problems. I use zoom mostly with my students. (read more)
