I deeply enjoyed seeing a student understand concepts, especially ones with which they were previously struggling. After college, I joined the United States Navy as a nuclear electronics technician. ...Since this, I have had a newfound respect for many of my professors who find ways to keep lectures and learning engaging and informative. Throughout my college years I have had numerous professors go above and beyond to aid in my understanding of material. ...I have volunteered my time pouring into Middle School and High School students for 8 years on a weekly basis, and have done so with Elementary students from 2020- present. I have taught the last few years in a classroom setting, but I particularly love 1-on-1 or small group settings to give direct, individualized attention.
