...In regards to the coursework, I focus on students understanding the underlying concepts behind the material. In my experience, explaining WHY this problem works this way, not just HOW to solve it, increases the likelihood of students understanding/retaining the information presented to them. As opposed to just blindly memorizing the material only to forget it all shortly thereafter. (read more)
