...At UW I've been a teaching assistant for various segments of the introductory physics sequence. I had been privately tutoring ~3-4 hrs/week since August 2014 primarily in college physics (UW intro sequence) and high school math. I would estimate that I've spent 1500+ hours teaching students in these settings, and worked with 50+ students in private tutoring. (read more)
...I first took Calculus my second year of high school, and I remember it as being quite a paradigm shift from all the math I knew. There was a moment taking the calculus series that I realized I wasn’t solving for some “x” anymore. What we were doing involved developing models for the world. (read more)

I recently graduated from the University of Washington Seattle with a Masters in Teaching for Mathematics. I wanted to go into teaching and am currently applying for a position to become a math teacher. At the moment, I am using the free time that I have to brush up on my math skills by tutoring. ...I have worked with students of all ages, though most of my time has been with students in Middle school or older. I am proud of my tutoring resume and have many students who will vouch for me. The aspect of tutoring I enjoy most is helping students find confidence in fields of Math. (read more)
