...In 2010, I passed the ATA exam to become an ATA Certified Translator for English-to-Spanish translations. There are fewer than 100 (only 70) translators in all of the United States with both of these certifications. I have over 10 years of experience tutoring dozens of students to higher scores on the PSAT/SAT by teaching them techniques for greater success on standardized tests. (read more)

I graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Chemistry from Saint Martin's University. I have worked as a chemist in the private sector and as a financial and budget analyst in the public sector, but have been at home most recently raising my children. I have taught mostly younger kids -- mine and others -- pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry for three years. (read more)
...In graduate school I also studied using partial differential equations to solve engineering problems. In one research project I used differential equations to develop models to more accurately control reactors dissolving spent nuclear fuel elements in hydrofluoric acid.
