Often, the opportunity to work one on one within these concepts - and talk them over until there is a real understanding - makes a huge difference. ...I took honors proof-based linear algebra in college and have used matrix algebra in many classes since. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Biostatistics, much of which is mathematically founded upon linear algebra. I use the Ubuntu operating system as well as Terminal on Mac OS X to manage my files.
