...I played the piano and organ at church and as the pianist for my high school touring choir. I auditioned for the School of Music at UNC-G and was granted entrance, but I decided to major in Elementary Education where I received my BA degree. I learned to play the flute in 7th grade and played throughout high school in the band and stage band (orchestra style). I was the first chair flutist. (read more)
