...Algebra is all about how fast something is moving. Calculus is about how fast something is accelerating. Getting from Algebra to Calculus requires a special ability to change the way the student sees formulas and equations. (read more)

As an undergrad at Brandeis University I took three semesters of calculus, plus other advanced math in the computer science department.
