After completing my degrees at the University of Texas at Austin in Photojournalism and Psychology, I went to Brazil and taught English in Rio de Janeiro for 6 months. ...I love geometry because of its visual elements, and how it requires you to think in completely different ways. It seems as if every student does either a lot better or a lot in geometry than in other math classes. That makes it interesting and challenging (in a good way) to teach! (read more)
