I can offer some of the "old" fashioned approaches which may be simpler and easier than the methods being taught currently. ...I also like to give SAT math prep lessons! I had a student and she had only two weeks to prepare for her SAT math test -- she was getting mid 600's when we first started, but after 10 lessons (yes! we met almost everyday for the two weeks!) she got 770 in her math 2 exam.
