...I was placed in an accelerated high school due to my acumen with math and took an accelerated version of this course that compressed 2 years of Pre-calculus and Trigonometry into 1.5. I hold two master's degrees -- one in applied mathematics, one in physics. I started teaching math in 1999. While many of the intervening years saw me as a part-time adjunct instructor of mathematics, I did enjoy a full-time appointment to the math faculty of Alabama A&M University for 5 of those years.
