...I graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1998, and shortly after decided that I wanted to be a teacher. So, back to school, I went and obtained my teaching certificate from Eastern Michigan University in 2003. ...I have a bachelor's and PhD in chemistry with an undergraduate minor in Spanish. I have worked in industry jobs and teaching jobs and have found that my passion lies with teaching. In the classroom it is much harder to accommodate all learning styles and that is why I find tutoring the most advantageous. (read more)
...In 2016 I was a long term sub for a 3rd grade class guiding them through all the curriculum from October to June. This was such a rewarding experience for me, and pushed me to finish my teaching degree. I am employed as a Paraprofessional, which allows me to help the students in my classroom in one-on-one setting with reading and match, as well as students in small groups with all subjects.
