My name is Gretchen and I am a seasoned tutor of students of all ages. I began tutoring math when I was 12 to high school seniors and have expanded my clientele to people of all ages (from 8-50) in subjects such as Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus A-D, English, Literature (Shakespeare included), History, and High School Sciences. I also provide SAT, LSAT, GMAT and BAR exam test prep.

Using graphic organizers and a variety of visual aides can be one way to assist ELL students in identifying words or phrases they may not understand. Picture walks, Sociograms, and KWL charts are a few specific strategies teachers and ELLs can utilize to increase vocabulary and reading comprehension skills.

I offer my new students the opportunity for evaluating my technique by submitting a page of their rough-copy work. There is no charge if the student elects to discontinue. The student always has the final approval for the final draft.
