At the middle and high school levels, my approach is to follow the curriculum of the school (and go beyond if the curriculum is weak.) At this level it is a combination of working though foundation concepts and doing practice exercises. I am a strong believer in practice makes perfect at this level. (read more)
...This will allow me to dig deeper into the concepts and be available at the session ready with several problems to work on together. I find that just dictating steps is not good enough. What's way more beneficial is to logically think through the problems---Math is very unique in that there are often multiple ways to solve problems. (read more)
