...Since it is no longer a prerequisite of physics, I found it helpful to teach the essentials of trigonometry at the beginning of most physics classes. Trigonometry is easier when a student realizes how much of it comes from applying the Pythagorean Theorem. I enjoy helping students recognize how useful trigonometry is in applications from art to construction to science. (read more)
