I try to break down a problem to make it easier to understand while asking for my student’s input in the solution. I want a student to tell me how to solve a problem rather than me tell the student. I graduated from Mississippi State with a B.S. degree in Mathematics. Two years there I worked as a math tutor in the lab where we helped with subjects from Intermediate Algebra to Calculus 2. I taught high school Algebra 2 for two years. (read more)
...Logic was a part of the graduate geometry class I taught and the remedial graduate math class I helped design. I was even helping a home-schooled high school student with logic problems just this past week. I really enjoy teaching logic because it is a NEW set of symbols and many students look at them with no pre-conceived notions, no baggage like many people have with subjects like algebra. (read more)
