...Students can be drawn out more in a casual environment where ideas are encouraged and respected. Generally, I believe in collaboration, which of course is difficult in a one-on-one session. However, I feel that it's important to know where to find the answers. (read more)

During my undergraduate education, I volunteered at a local elementary school and tutored students who were at least 1-2 grade levels behind in math. I believe in diagnosing any gaps or holes that would impede performance and filling those holes with the information the student needs to forward.
