...It is easy for math and science to slip away from a student. Both of these subjects are very foundational and with a weak foundation it is impossible to understand any further material, perpetuating a cycle of disliking math and feeling incapable. I make a point to make sure to build a solid foundation of material so that they feel confident tackling the problems they are facing in school. (read more)
...I taught kindergarten for several years and handwriting was part of the curriculum. I also homeschooled both my daughters and taught them to write so handwriting was an essential part of their studies. In addition, one of my daughters is autistic and struggles with handwriting so over the years I have learned techniques to help her through these struggles. (read more)
