...While I currently work as a school counselor, I am also a CT certified math teacher grades 7- 12, and I taught math as a classroom teacher for 9 years. ...I typically can cover 2-3 topics per hour based upon student comprehension. I don't rush, I don't pick up and leave once we hit 60 minutes, I try to make the process as painless as possible. I realize that 99 percent of my students aren't big fans of math, and I will do whatever I can to ensure comprehension and build confidence. (read more)

...I should add that the proof is in the pudding. I had taught a number of my young students to achieve the perfect score on the math portion of the SAT long before they would reach high school. I had also tutored a number of high-school students to score either perfectly or near-perfectly on the math portions of the ACT and SAT. (read more)
