I am currently a middle school math teacher who has a passion to tutor students one-on-one or in a small group. I am certified in both middle school and high school math,and I have been teaching for 11 years. My first career was as a civil engineer, and I use this experience to help students make connections and see the value of understanding math.

Through short stories, plays, and novels, we can appreciate important questions and lessons that cannot be captured in any other way. ...In the past I have run chemistry workshops and tutored many undergraduate students. In addition, as part of my requirement for grad school I was a teaching assistant for two laboratory courses (5.311 and 5.301), which has given me plenty of experience mentoring and teaching students of various needs. During my time at MIT I also earned a teaching certificate to strengthen my teaching skills.
