...I received a 5 in my AP Calculus AB exam and I still use it every day when trying to solve problems in machine learning. Similarly I have to use statistics every day in my chosen field and have become very familiar with these two subjects. Algebra 1 and 2 are the basics of any math course, so I had to be very comfortable with them to be successful with AP Calc and AP Stats. (read more)
...My favorite part of teaching was office hours, where one to three students came to my office and we were able to focus on what they were struggling with. Teaching in this one on one or small group setting was much more enjoyable for me and educational for the students. I typically ask questions of my students so I can identify what their understanding is and what I can help with. (read more)
...Bottom line is that I build math confidence and improve math scores. I held a teaching assistantship while studying for my MA and have always enjoyed teaching. My full-time career is in financial services, which means I present (or explain) new systems to corporations and I have to be good at it. (read more)
