...I believe students sometimes feel they don't like a subject because they don't do well in the subject. Once someone explains concepts and helps them solve problems on their own, they get excited, and slowly the confidence builds up. ...Typically I will just work with students on their homework or class work and determine at which concepts the students are struggling with. I try not to lead the lesson but rather just help the student when needed during through problem solving. My biggest passion to tutoring is seeing a student go from a struggling state to being successful after just a couple short sessions. (read more)

...It was also incredibly rewarding to take WyzAnt's test on my first try 10 years ago and receive 100% correct responses of 12 questions. I found the test quite easy, which validates that I understand the basic principles of trigonometry much better now than I did in high school. In both undergraduate and graduate school, I had to take statistics and experimental design classes. (read more)
