...I tutor various math, statistics, writing, and study skills. My greatest satisfaction comes from helping people to make sense of numbers and data. I like to work with people in a collaborative way, identifying the most effective learning style for the individual, making sure they understand so that they are able to move forward on their own in the future.

...My job is to go over the material with them and if needed, explain the questions to them so they make sense and go through the steps with them in all the sections. I also go over study skills and test-taking tips with them. Sections of ACT questions relate to environmental factors.

...My many years of experience are a benefit, as I know many "tricks" to teach students to help make math facts and methods easy to remember and even fun! I have worked with Special Education students, including some with Asperger's syndrome and Autism, as well as with General Education students. I have been successful with all of them.
