...When youth are able to perfect new skills it boosts their self-esteem and leads to future success. In order to get there youth need a safe comfortable environment in which to learn without judgment. When it comes to math I teach not only how to get the right answers, but also why the answer is right and how to check their work so they know come test day if they've made any small errors. ...While gaining my degree I worked as a public school Behavioral Interventionist 1:1 with high school students. I was again assessed and licensed by the state of Vermont to teach Special Education. I worked for three years as a public school Special Educator for 7th and 8th graders with a variety of learning needs and disabilities. (read more)
