Amir B. ...This is a method that my piano teacher used when we worked on shaping musical phrases. He asked me to look for "clues", such as harmony, and decide for myself how a phrase should go, while responding to my ideas. I find this method much more empowering than imitation, not only in music but in all subjects.As a physics major at Harvard, I make ample use of math.
