...I am willing to go above and beyond for my students or those that I am helping. If I'm not sure how to do something, I will be forthcoming in that, but I will research the topic and see how I can better help and teach that subject. ...While many of the intervening years saw me as a part-time adjunct instructor of mathematics, I did enjoy a full-time appointment to the math faculty of Alabama A&M University for 5 of those years. I have also used my skills in industry and government, most notably at NASA and Intergraph. I've taught just about every undergraduate math course and tutored some graduate ones, too. (read more)
...I have tutored students at various ages and levels, including GED students in a program provided at my church. I encourage each student to take responsibility for his/her learning and help me determine areas in which I can help.
