...I have been tutoring ever since that realization! My favorite part of teaching is the "ah-ha" moments that I see in students when they finally understand a concept. While in college, for 3 years I was a TA for an Introductory Statistics college class which involved one-on-one tutoring, instructing weekly lab classes, as well as helping answer questions in the open lab. ...I warn my prospective students that the gains to be made with just a week or two of preparation will be very limited. I have a great deal of experience both with the ACT material itself and teaching this material to high school students preparing for college. The main thing to be gained from test prep tutoring is a plan of attack specific to the test. (read more)
