As a youth I had a deep interest in rocks and minerals. Collecting and examining rocks became a hobby up into my teenage years. Fascinated with the environment and other 'earthly' things I went to college with the mindset that I wanted to work closely with the earth. (read more)
...Given the nature of my student teaching assignment, most learners were resistant, to say the least. But by adapting, interest was sparked and built upon, exceeding their expectations of themselves. I approach learning by establishing a pressure-free atmosphere to emphasize progress is beneficial to the learner as opposed to detrimental in the case of failure. (read more)
