...I like what I do! I received my Master of Science degree in Applied Physics from East Carolina University. My thesis was on Particle Induced X-Ray Emission (PIXE). I constructed a PIXE chamber then used ECU's particle accelerator to bombard targets, thus emitting characteristic X-Rays that helped to unveil the target's chemical makeup. (read more)
...I enjoy helping students reach their potential in a subject that, for most, is difficult to understand. A lot of the students I teach are athletes or musicians. I remind them that the first time they stepped on to a field or picked up an instrument they were not automatically the best on the team or the most skilled player. (read more)
