I feel that I am a very patient tutor, and can greatly help children learn material that they are struggling in. I do not give them the answers, but rather push them in the right direction, and make sure that it sticks with follow-up questions.

Wendi C. ...The basics of good teaching for reading are the same: phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension skills, checking for understanding. There are also different skills needed when reading fiction vs. non-fiction. I have raised test scores at every school I've taught and do not need gimmicks.
