...Tutors need to be able to explain and then model effective behaviors and assist learners in the process of forming new habits by providing appropriate feedback. Just reading about what you need to do is not the same as putting positive behaviors into practice. It takes time for new habits to take root and become part of an established routine. (read more)
I have a BS in Geology and have worked for many years on environmental projects. I am a good candidate for tutoring because strong math, chemistry, and physics skills are necessary to complete a geology degree. In college, I spent a semester tutoring freshmen in math and science. (read more)
