...I've tutored high school students in AP Calculus (AB and BC) and in honors calculus, and I've also tutored college students in first and second year calculus. All of these students have made good progress. I'm currently an adjunct faculty member in mathematics at Bunker Hill Community College, and a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

...I employ a sense of humor to our discussions and ALWAYS emphasize my interest in the student's knowledge, "insight," and enjoyment of the subject. I meet with the younger students at their homes (a parent or representative must be on the premises), or at a local public library. Meeting frequency is up to the family, of course.

...Much of my Masters coursework and research has also focused on ESL students. I took classes in second language acquisition and bilingual education. My research projects focused on assessing language based learning disabilities in students for whom English is a second language.
