...Typically I will just work with students on their homework or class work and determine at which concepts the students are struggling with. I try not to lead the lesson but rather just help the student when needed during through problem solving. ...I plan to teach Algebra 1, Algebra 2, geometry, calculus, physics and also help students prepare for ACT and SAT math. I believe students sometimes feel they don't like a subject because they don't do well in the subject. Once someone explains concepts and helps them solve problems on their own, they get excited, and slowly the confidence builds up. (read more)
...I took two Pathophysiology courses in pharmacy school. Pathophysiology I covered the nervous system, both sympathetic/parasympathetic and peripheral/autonomic. Pathophysiology II covered the remaining major organ systems of the human body, each presented by a different guest lecturer. (read more)
...I'm now back in Cincinnati with my Master of Education. It's pretty normal to be overwhelmed by math, or avoid it, or hate it, and it's probably the scariest ACT test. I've been tutoring ACT math for years (and taken it as an adult) and have a great sense of the types of questions that are often included and the best way for different learners to find the answers easily and quickly.
