I was homeschooled as a child, which led me to read books. Reading those books made me a little different from other people my age, continuing through high school and college. I tried being a writer of fiction, but I decided to marry the reality of monetary needs to the fantasy of exploring ideas all day, and so then chose to return to college and become an educator. Some "needed an A" to get into the college they wanted, some just wanted to pass, and some were more concerned about passing the AP Biology Subject test to earn college credit and save money.
