...I put together lessons on interesting scientific topics and new research and then presented it to the club members. In high school I created a biology course and taught it to middle schoolers. In college I helped my classmates with difficult physics concepts, and helped them solve hard homework problems provided by our professor. (read more)
...My teaching philosophy is that students should never be ashamed of where they are at, and that a topic is explained correctly when it is obvious to the student what it means and how to apply it. Outside of academic activities I enjoy knitting, sewing, and watching old movies. Teaching and tutoring calculus is what renewed my interest in tutoring in recent years. (read more)
