...My mother was a history major, so my interest probably starts from her. I think what makes history fun is learning about the personal stories and not just the dates and locations. I retired from teaching in 2014 and have been tutoring ever since. I taught 37 years at Haddam-Killingworth HS and have been tutoring privately and at Valley Regional HS for the past 8 years. Although I have mostly taught high school age students, my tutoring has included children from grade 4 and up. (read more)
