...At UNC, I am currently involved with UNC MAPS – a club for minority pre-med students – to enrich my experience in the STEM field. Apart from my academic drive, I also pride myself in being a kind and patient person, who enjoys helping others succeed. I have taught math (from introductory algebra to calculus I) and physics courses (from conceptual physics to calculus-based physics with labs) for more than 10 years at community colleges. I have also taught physical science at Belmont Abbey College. I have worked as a private tutor and a tutor at Gaston College and I also have experience as a substitute teacher in public school.
