Bosko C. ...Factor the expression: x^2-x-6. -6 can be considered as a product of 2 and -3 and gives us conclusion that -x can be written as a sum of -3x and 2x. So, our expression has this form now: x^2-3x+2x-3*2=x*(x-3)+2*(x-3)=(x+2)*(x-3). So, our quadratic equation looks like this: (x+2)*(x-3)=0. This will be equal to zero only if: x+2=0 or x-3=0.
