...These students ranged from Freshmen to Seniors (18-22 years).I find that the best way for me to tutor is to know what the specific subject/topic is prior to start of the session. This will allow me to dig deeper into the concepts and be available at the session ready with several problems to work on together. I find that just dictating steps is not good enough. (read more)
...During the first meeting, that is also something that I try to assess myself and then put together a plan of action for the next few weeks. I have successfully tutored students in all levels from 5th grade math through Honors Pre-Calculus. Most of my students saw their grades improve from F's to C's or from C's to A's. (read more)
...But, more importantly, I was taught by great teachers who helped me succeed in each of these subjects as well as the SAT math section. They always emphasized the importance of understanding key concepts and how math related to the real world. Without this, math is simply a random combination of letters and numbers. (read more)
