Donna B. I believe you should ENJOY the math you are studying -- at least as much as possible! In addition, I feel my strength as a tutor is working with students who have had an uncomfortable experience in the past or have a bit of anxiety when it comes to math and its complexities. We deal with "test anxiety" in particular.

Mary W. I find that tying real-world applications into mathematical concepts is of lasting use to students. With six papers written and presented at international conferences, and two of them re-written for non-math audiences, I have an excellent grasp of how to give folks the connections between concept and application.
