Students need to see multiple methods (i.e. graphically, algebraically, numerically, etc.) on how to answer a math problem. Math (and business) problems have both a mechanical piece and a theoretical piece to them that must be identified and understood. (read more)

In either case, the subject is well worth the time investment: in this day and age, it is perhaps the most important subject in mathematics as it is very relevant to computation and analysis of data.
